Creative Event in MY Library, Summary Material of Best Examples

In this material we have assembled 11 examples of creative events organised during the competition “Creative Event in MY Library” in Libraries year 2010 and 2011. We have also included short information about the competition. This material can be used as an inspiration for librarians, teachers and educators willing to educate children about internet safety. Using creative approach and methods is a possibility to attract attention of minors and enable them to enjoy the learning process in a creative and fun way.

Guide for Teachers "Internet Safety"

Teacher’s handbook with practical tasks and working pages. This handbook can be used by both teachers for self education and in the process of educating schoolchildren.

The Guide was developed in cooperation with Centres’ Teacher Panel. The Guide in a simple language provides information on internet safety issues – both for teachers and to be used in the process of informing children about internet safety. Each theme is supplemented with practical tasks and working pages. Teachers and educators using their professional experience and personal expertise can then decide which topic is important to which age group.
